Sharing the giveaway love!

I'm not anywhere near to the giveaway stage, but I wanted to share the love of those who are!!

First up Belle Blossoms of Vintage Belle is celebrating their 1 year anniversary with some fabulous autumnal hair clips and fascinators.  A great alternative to summery flowers.  Belle has allowed a couple of ways for you to enter the giveaway, so check out her blog for details.  (closing deadline 31st Oct)

Another winter inspired giveaway is happening over at Oranges and Apples with their 'Cozy Woolies Giveaway'.  The winner gets to pick either a hand knitted scarlette, a hat or a pair of fingerless gloves.  Again, a couple of entry options.  (Deadline 1st November)

Over at Bombshell Bettie's Vintage, she is half way through her month long giveaway fest!
This weeks is an amazing print from Lauren Maurer Artworks.   With a staggering FOUR options for entries Bettie is spoiling us! Head over there to see how to enter.

Going back to the autumn theme, but this time for those of us who need a colourful pick-me-up in the makeup department, Fleur over at The Diary of a Vintage Girl has reviewed some of the recently launched  Collection 2000 makeup.  A great way of achieving a vintage look on a budget.  (Personally I recently purchased the lipstick and think it is great! Not as drying as I find MAC, goes on well and has great staying power!)

And last but not least, what I personally think is a stunning giveaway - a Heydays Dress from Shona at In the Heyday.  Celebrating 100 followers Shona has decided to give away one of the popular 'Fleur' dresses, inspired by the vintage 'Swirl' house dresses and Fleur de Guerre herself.
I almost didn't mention this one as I am eyeing up the dress myself!!!
(Competition closes 29th October)

Good luck if you decide to entry any, or all, of these giveaways.  Let me know if you win!!!

Foxy Coxy coming to an event near you!

Part of my involvement with the vintage, cabaret and burlesque 'scene' ties in with what I do as a day job - Events Management  - which is great.  To be able to work on and be involved with more 'creative' events in the evenings after working on business conferences and seminars during the day keeps me sane!

As with most things in life this connection came through people I knew and had met while going to events and being my usual chatty and helpful self.  I'm always one to utter the phrase 'is there anything I can do to help'.  Usually this is pounced upon, but on occasion I actually get to attend a show as an audience member - it's not that often as inevitably I get roped in to helping out some how!

But, off the back of this over the weekend a friend and I were chatting about the skills we have between us and we came up with 'The Hostess Hotties'  Click here for the Facebook page we have set up.

The patented nonsense 'What kind of vintage are you?' quiz.

My blogger friend over at redlegsinsoho has received a copy of the What Kind of Vintage?
quiz from Dr Johanna von Pinkelthingy and her friends at the Kodd Institute of Psychology.

I highly recommend you scoot on over and that a gander at the questions - answer truthfully to find out exactly what kind you are!!!
